absolutely no business? Course you do. I travelled for over a year as a tourist. Didn’t work, paid money into the economies of all countries. Is that not the definition of tourism? You have no business working in a different country without a proper visa, but the Thai Government offers the METV (double and single entry) and DTV visas. Tell them they should change their visas. Whether said country allows you in at immigration is down to them, not you, so, if they offer a specific visa which fits the requirements of an individuals travel plans, you have zero right to tell them that they don’t have the correct visa.

what you’re saying makes no sense. If an official visa is available, how is it a cheap trick? It a paid visa with specific requirements and restrictions.

I have also, 3 different immigration officers, and 2 different offices and I asked intensively and clearly more than once if it was a rolling year or calendar year, and they all said “Calendar year” buut, everyone on here just keeps saying “NO RESET”

just on the METV subject. I know that the requirements are that you apply in your home country, but, there was a person who posted in here a week/few weeks ago who successfully applied in Vietnam and received the visa within 3 days, he wasn’t from Vietnam.

I don’t get your issue with it, and, how would it not make sense? It would make complete sense. I’m talking about first hand experience with face to face interaction while dealing with immigration with immigration officers, but, if you know more, then may as well tell everyone your exact facts based on your experience

it’s the 157 days that is per calendar year, I’ve spoken to 2 different immigration officers in person at their office when got my extension in November and they both told me it’s calendar year basis, as did Siam Legal.
