Brother, I went to VFS Kolkata to apply for DTV, but apparently there they are asking for an Invitation Letter as per the condition 5.1 listed in their checklist. I argued for 1 hour with them and I even called the Kolkata Thai Consulate and they said the same thing. They are not issuing DTV for Workcation purpose. Maybe it'll change later, but they keep making up their own rules.
Anyways, wanted to ask if the Bank Statement that you submitted, was it 6 months Bank Statement or 3 months? Also, did you maintained the required balance in your account for the whole 6 months?
The embassy website says nothing regarding the documents required and if they needs to be attested by the embassy of the country where the company is located.(
They only say that if the documents provided is not in English or Thai then they must be translated and notarized by an authorized body or a diplomatic/consular mission.
But all my documents are in English. Hence, I'm asking in this group to see if anyone applied it successfully, and if they needed any documents attested from the Embassy or Ministry of foreign affairs.
Yes, I meet the requirements for DTV visa. Just wanting to know if the documents they are requesting (Bank Statements, Employment Contract/Certificate) needs to be attested by the relevant embassy or ministry of foreign affairs where the company is located as well. I have all the documents from my US company I work for as a remote worker, but the documents are not attested by US embassy. My documents only have the signature of the company CEO. And my foreign bank statement is the printed version of the electronic bank statement generated from the internet banking. Will they accept these documents?
Question: Did you need to submit a stamped/certified bank statement? I plan to apply for DTV from Laos, but I only have the electronic bank statement from my internet banking. Will they accept this printed electronic statement, or do I need to get this statement stamped and certified from my bank in my home country?
