you need to of downloaded the NHS app not the NHS COVID19 app. In my case I've had three vaccine jabs and when I was in isolation the QR apps were taken off pending my recovery then on day 10 I was phoned and cleared of covid and they went back on plus my new recovery app which looks like a vaccine app. The NHS phoned me everyday to check me out and were brilliant. I suggest you phone 119 for their help about the apps. Don't forget you need the NHS app and not the NHS covid 19 app. After 24 years of going to Thailand lm finding what a nightmare it is this year.
i was told the Thai authorities will accept the NHS covid recovery app along side your vaccine jab apps as they know the time space is 90 days between PCR,s.
that is a question I can't answer as I don't travel till 1st Feb. I booked in to a SHA+ Hotel prior to getting covid and will still leave the booking open in case of problem. My info was obtained via my ticket agent trailfinders,my GP here in the UK and NHS 119. It makes sense as just imagine getting a negative prior to flying. If you are still in doubt I suggest contacting Thai Embassy(london) via email or your airline via email. I'm sure you'll be fine as I was worried like you until I found info. Good luck.
If you have the NHS app on your phone and it is up to date with your vaccines you will find the QR codes have been removed for up dating and will be reinstalled when your isolation period is over. And then automatically a new QR will of been download stating that you have recovered form covid, this you can show to your airline for boarding thus eliviating the need for a PCR. You should not have a PCR test within 90 days of a positive one, incase of a false positive reading. Then you would have to isolate all over again. I'm going through the same thing, just make sure the recovery stamp goes on your NHS app.
I can now answer my own question. Do not take another PCR test within 90 days as can give a false reading, instead contact your own GP and they will issue you with a certificate stating that you have had covid and are now recovered which gives you the ok to fly. This info obtained through NHS today.
have been informed by NHS that if you take another PCR test before a 90 day period has elapsed you may get a positive reading in which case you should self isolate again and what a disaster that would be. Yes there are no restrictions on taking another test but if you did what a nightmare it could be. Reckon I could get a letter from GP. Thanks.
yes they were getting erratic even before civid struck. I always use Trailfinders as booking agent and they told me they no longer deal with them for that very reason.
