Technically you need 20k in hand, but in reality, very unlikely to get asked, but if you do get asked, got less than 1% chance of getting in anyway because if they are asking they already decided they are not letting you in and just looking for simple reason to put on form. Where with this new rule, EVERY TR application will have to show financial proof.
But really, its just cosmetic change anyway, by nationality only tiny selection of people, mainly from africa, need a TR as most have exempt now and that gives same amount.
Outside of them its just the "you have been here to long, next time get proper visa" crowd, most of whom should be moving to DTV anyway
That's a different rule, and its cash or traveler's checks only, no equivalent such as bank statement or showing balance on banking app. Only time it comes up is when IO already decided not letting you in and just looking for simple excuse to deny. They won't even let you go to the ATM to pull it out
That's actually a different rule again, where anyone on tourist or exemption have to show 20k, in actual cash (bank statement, app showing cash in account not valid) only time its ever 'enforced' here is when immigration have already decided not letting you in and just looking for the excuse that requires least amount of explaining on their forms...actually over the years been many accounts of people having that cash on them but that's what IO puts on form anyway
No, its new thing on tourist visas (TR), have to show financial proof now (they keep saying reimplementing an old rule, but cannot remember TRs having financial proof reqs in last decade at least). As most visa applications online now they will basicly have to upload a bank statement now for TR. But unless the lower exemptions back down TR is pretty useless for majority of nationalitys anyway
