@BadBad *******
😂 And yet some here keep dreaming of getting a visa without any chance of being interrogated.

Right. I've heard about HCMC, Cambodia, London, Spain refusing it so far.

New emergency decree places full responsibility on banks and telecom providers in cases of scams:

I doubt any bank will now allow account openings without a strong justification.

Anonymous participant Use the search function on the group, you'll find a bunch.

Anonymous participant Why don't you try with an agent? Many are doing it.

Anonymous participant What discrimination? Everyone knows it's very difficult to open a bank account on a DTV due to the nature of the visa. There's no difference between you and others who have already tried. How many countries allow you to open a bank account on a tourist visa? You're getting one of the easiest and cheapest visas ever offered in Thailand—it's already amazing that you can benefit from it. Having a 5-year visa doesn’t make you a higher-status citizen; anyone can obtain it. 🤔

Anonymous participant Well, you could try doing longer stays, for example. You'll obviously need to declare it somehow and may want to check with a lawyer. You might also need to fill TM30 and provide some documents for your customers to deal with immigration (visa, etc.), so it's better to ensure everything is legal from that perspective.

1. Airbnb rentals for stays under 30 days are not legal. (Hotel Act).

2. Are you the legal owner of the villa? If not, you are working for someone else, which is considered employment in Thailand and is not permitted under your DTV.

Oh yes, definitely. No, I was just emphasizing the fact that anything related to bureaucracy in Thailand involves a lot of paper printing. So, adding one more piece of paper isn’t going to significantly worsen the ecological footprint 😝
