Inflation happens. I have been going 30 years now 5 - 8 times a year and the "increased" costs does not bother me or most other people. If your income hasn't adjusted and kept up with Inflation then maybe you should look for other avenue streams of income.
You can literally look on Airbnb or agoda put in the dates you want to rent and it will show you the overall cost. 2 weeks or more normally gives a decent discount.
