I did it without the missus deets by using tenancy agreement... Worked with no dramas also... Just printed from the Web and filed it in myself...

Technically, you can also do it at the local police station if there is no immigration office close by. I have done it there, but they have no clue what it is, and you can guarantee the form never goes to any immigration office to notify them of your whereabouts...

Doesn't the TM6 slip that you fill in when entering the country cover the first location you stay at? And if that is your residence and you never leave it for 24 hours, you shouldn't actually need the TM30 or TM28 at all, as you have notified them already on the slip...

It was

1500 for Cambodia visa

300 Cambodia exit "fee"

Also need 1 passport photo

The exit fee is paid because I did not stay 1 night (I believe)

And I paid my guide 200, so all up it cost me 2000thb + travel expenses etc

to be clear, my IDL was valid for both car and bike as per my DL in Aus, although they never wanted to see my Aus DL, only the IDL...

I used international dl to get my Thai dl, they did not ask for my aus dl at all...

Sorry I haven't, but I'm also interested to know. I have heard that the stat dec is in itself proof, as this is a legal document (in Australia), and so all things being equal, if you are declaring it so, it is so...

yeah i just went through all this getting my DL here... My missus rents for cash so no rental contract, and no house book, it was very difficult to get the residency cert because of this scenario...

In the end we found a valid work around and now I have my DLs here...
