this isn’t a group to encourage illegal work or anything else that isn’t legal. I can’t stop anyone from doing things that they shouldn’t be doing it, but I can just not encourage it. I’m in my 40s and not poor. I won’t ever be going to any hostel.

there is only one visa that actually permits remote work. Nobody is monitoring people to make sure they don't commit murder or drive intoxicated either, but that does not make it legal.

There is no such thing as a "digital nomad" visa for Thailand. The LTR visa is not for small business owners for Work from Thailand Professional. If you qualify for Wealthy Global Citizen, you can invest here and get an LTR visa.

Will Turkish Airlines accept a one-way ticket to Bangkok for applying for a retirement visa?

it's a real reservation, not a real ticket. The company books a reservation in your name and then cancels it. They send you the confirmation on the reservation, but the seat gets released back for purchase. It's a pretty sleazy business model and a violation of airline COC and I'm surprised this company has not been sued yet.
