Unless you only stay out 1 day each time, you'd be hard-pressed to make it to that third entry if you extend the first two and use to their max potential.

I wasn't aware that nearby embassies no-longer issue METVs to non-residents of that country. When did that change? The last time I got a double-entry visa from Vientiane was in October 2013.
