They haven’t been giving people on tourist visas bank accounts for years. People who ARE successful at getting one generally paid an agent, or travel all around town to every bank until one accepts them. Even my Muay Thai gym had to do the run around for its DTV members until they found one way tf in Ayuttuya that would issue bank accounts. It’s also a fücktõn of paperwork and banks don’t want to take the time to do it.
Keep in mind this Visa is very new so no one knows wtf is going on in general, and rules and regulations are constantly changing
Education Visa is only good for one year, you need waiver to leave the country, and you keep having to renew.
If you’re bringing your babies, it’s better to have a long-term visa. DTV is great right now, but you need to have at least 500 K baht in your bank account and either show proof of remote work or get a letter from a must Thai gym or other soft skill, and you will also need to pay for that.
