they never asked for income or my employment status when I applied in Vietnam. Just the bank account funds. Is this a nationality or embassy requirement? 🧐

You should wait for your to have the funds in your accounts for 3 months. Sounds like that embassy is pretty strict. It has to be liquid, not investments. Can you travel to another country to apply? They should not be asking for income for soft power.

your friend neglected to supply additional requested information. That’s the only reason a visa would get “cancelled” in process. So that’s his fault. Needs to check his spam mail.

Can you use the Moreta app for QR payments in Thailand without a local bank account?

Yes I used Moreta. Unfortunately it only worked for business QR codes and not individuals. I took my money out and transferred to Pay&Tour through Kbank but it’s mostly a similar situation.
