Hey I am currently at BKK and they wont let me in as I need the DTV. Can anyone recommend the best nearby country that would be the quickest processing time. I consult for a new start up company or I could do Thai language or some other Thai culture activity. What would you recommend?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Bangkok but cannot enter Thailand due to the need for a DTV visa. They seek recommendations for nearby countries with quick processing times for acquiring the visa. Comments suggest countries like Jakarta, Vietnam, and Laos as options, with specific mention that Jakarta can process applications in about 3 days. Users also mention Cambodia but advise against it due to potentially long processing times.
,took all of 4 days in Vientiane and that was with an interview as well (soft power)

Savannakhet Laos approved my husband same day of payment. (You have to pay in person at the consulate right after applying online evisa website, this is one of the only consulates like this but very fast approval)
similar in Vientiane. Paid the cash went to vang vieng then had an email for an appointment the next day. Quick rush back simple interview and I had the approval email before I even left the gates!
I haven’t been asked for anything additional but the only thing I haven’t provided on that list you shared is proof of long term stay in Thailand, but I have my lease if they do ask.
Nonsense. When in Cambodia you can apply via the Thai e-visa website. When you give them all the requested documents you will have the DTV within a week. I missed the employment letter and still had it within 10 days
Again BS: You can have it within 7 working days when you hand over all the documents in 1 go. You and I both had the DTV within 2 weeks. That isn't "a long time".
well that’s not the case right now. I submitted all of my documents on the 14th Feb. They’ve been pending approval ever since the 17th. No request for additional documents. Simply waiting approval. Everyone else I’ve spoken to has also waited over 2 weeks.
It even says on the website for the Phnom Penh Thai embassy waiting time is 10 business days. You clearly got lucky.
Also in literally any country you apply through the Thai e-visa website, so not sure what point you were making there.
you will if you have been abusing the system with back to back visa exemptions and extensions. They are clamping down on now.

As long as you have bt500,000, or the equivalent, in a bank account anywhere in the world in your name there are lots of different ways to get the DTV. If you don't have that amount of cash then forget it.
If you do the DTV in Malaysia they want things like the full scanned copy of your passport, original documents scanned from.your country, everything is not the same in each country
there's a lot of details missing so I'll start the guessing game 😁. Serial tourist visa / visa exempt abuser and he's finally been pulled up by an officer and told to get a proper visa.
An agent I know told me it's very common at the moment
