You can only get the DTV for cooking from pre approved cooking schools They will advertise that they are DTV approved . You can't just book any course at any school. The two schools mentioned are DTV approved but there are probably othes

The simple answer is No but there are a number of other options that may be worthwhile investigating

Other people have written a letter to themselves as the owner outlining their employment contract and clearly stating that they can work remotely from Thailand

There is no solid answer as different embassies added their own requirements Some are happy with "its in a bank now" and others want anywhere from 1 to 6 months. Best to check with wherever you are planning on applying. And be aware lots of people will give you lots of differing answers depending on their experience
