This could be a good option for you if you can afford it. It gives you peace of mind. You aren't allowed to work in Thailand with it though- but could do something online.
Or when you get to 50, just get a retirement visa and extend it every year.
One more option is to teach English (and get a work permit with the job):if you can become a bit more fluent.
I am really sorry for the negative comments on here. Your situation sounds challenging and I hope you can find a good solution. Thailand is a lovely, safe and peaceful place to live. It's just not easy to get citizenship but the Thais are very generous with allowing foreigners to live here long term (as long as they don't break work rules). Best of luck!
