Just thought it would be good to include here in case someone needs to know. I'm not going to do that. I'll just come in on a 30-day exempt and extend it once I'm there. Thanks again for all the help.
So I just got an email back from the Mexico City Thai embassy and they do require proof of a reservation for every night spent in Thailand. This is exactly their reply: You can divide it into 2 -3 reservations. It doesn't have to be 60 days in one reservation. Just make sure that the reservations cover every night.
For example, if the first reservation is from 1 to 30 September, the second reservation should be for 30 sep to 31 oct. Not 1-31 oct, because the night of 30 sep will not be covered.
Easy peasy. I have a friend in Thailand right now. He is a Mexican national and applied for a SETV while on vacation in Hong Kong. They didn't even ask him for proof of a hotel reservation. Not even for one night. So, it's strange they are asking me for 60-days proof in Mexico City and I'm using a US Passport. Makes no sense. But there you go. That's Mexico for ya.
I'm thinking that's the way to go. I'm leaving just short of 60 days anyway for a meeting. I think I'll do that and return after that trip again for another 30-day exemption plus another extension when I get back
I understand that. My original question is not about the form. It's how can one show proof of a 60 reservation the embassy asked for when no booking website allows you to book more than 30 days. There are no 60 day bookings possible online.
