I got it from my hotel after 2 emails. I think it took 2 hours. But of course this depends on the hotel. While I finished booking the room and received the shaba number, other hotels still had to reply on my first email.

A lot of things changed after April. For example a closure of all things + curfew in BKK, and the prediction that new Covid cases will go up 10 times more in the next months what will lead to even more measures everywhere. Even the most luxerious resort sucks when the swimming pool is closed and you have to eat your dinner in your hotel room because everything is closed. A room you cannot leave after 9PM because of a curfew. I have a family here, but wouldn't go for a holiday now. Even Europe is much better at the moment.

My experience, with the Thai consulate in The Netherlands is that they issue the COE very fast. I applied in the night, got a rejection at 8 in the morning because something was missing, applied again, they accepted part 1 of the CEO within an hour, filled in the other things, and a couple of hours later I had my CEO. I don't believe that it can go faster.

It's a pity that most US people have completely no clue about history. In the times we are talking about now life was not about modern values as freedom. Life was about surviving. Life was about getting food for today, about trying to keep a job, it was about not starving to death. Nobody was thinking about freedom. Freedom is a modern buzz word.

You know why these emigrants went to the US? It's not so different as the UK who sent their criminals to Australia. The ones going to the US were mainly the ones who couldn't make it in Europe. If you were homeless, were not able to find a job, your life was full of shit and you saw no chance to solve it, only then you escaped to the US.

Almost all Americans have European ancestors. The US is not really a country. They are just a bunch of emigrants from Europe who couldn't make a living at home in Europe.
