Note, Malaysia is the most difficult embassy to get DTV approval. Approvals take around 10-15 business days, longer if requests made for additional paperwork.

Depends on where you apply regarding the recent deposit of 500k. Some are ok with it , others require it be seasoned for 3-6 months. You applying for Softpower hence the parent sponsorship? Can be easier if they just "loan" you the money

That's the benefit of the DTV, can enter on a one way ticket, stay for 6 mths hence the lack of questioning for the vast majority of DTVERS.
