I plan on converting to a long term visa probably mid year 2020. I'm just wondering if i have a good chance to get the tourist visa in Vientiane because i have a new passport. I know flying into Thailand it doesn't matter if you have the new passport and I don't want to risk that
At about 8:00am they opened the gates and let people come inside. Because I was one of the first 150 or so I was able to get a seat ( other people had to stand ) and wait until they started accepting visa applications at 8:30. After I submitted my visa application and documents from my school I was given a number and had to wait to be called so they could ensure I had all the correct paperwork. After my number was called they told me i could come back and pick up the next day at 1:30pm. Total time for the first day was about 2 hours which wasn’t bad
