It’s not just inflation, which is constant everywhere. It’s the strengthening currency. My dollar bought 30 baht a decade ago. Now it buys 21. One of many Examples: To get a kilo of laundry washed has increased from 20 baht to 50 baht (150% inflation). With currency strengthening fire me, the cost has increased from 66 cents to $2.30 (a 250% increase). So it is more expensive.

They used to give you a 7 day stamp if your flight back to your home country was imminent. Don’t know if that’s still a thing

I missed an international flight recently. It was delayed and I miscalculated my wait time whilst plane spotting in a different part of the terminal. I then saw my plane taxiing away from the gate. I went into an anxious panic. But at least I still had the means to fix it!
