Thanks I can also confirm the same experience as Joanne my son tested positive 2 days before our flight he was positive on lateral flows for about 6 days then negative but his first 2 PCR came back inconclusive (again we did this in someone else’s name for the same reasons as Joanne we didn’t want it blocked at airport) eventually we got another nhs PCR and he was negative so we could proceed. I have also got the certificate of recovery from Ghosh clinic and I had all the results and this certificate within 2 hours of attending. Fingers crossed for a smooth journey

I got family to send it for me I kept my bank address in the UK maybe that helps

I have had 2 credit cards sent to me via normal post from UK and both arrived no probs at all.

yeah I might look into it as it’s prob not too different to the amount you lose in the current exchange rate bringing money back and forth

yeah I know it’s hard to know what to do it could all change as it tends to last minute. Might explore other visas that don’t need to cash deposit

ahh ok it doesn’t expire until 31st August but the money needs to be shown for 3 months prior and it’s not ideal to have that amount sat there not using it
