I’ve had water stains that weren’t a problem. As long as it didn’t affect the integrity of the data page, that being said you can only try. Because if they won’t accept it, the path to a new passport takes a while! And isn’t cheap

You can hire people in Thailand so do stuff for you. But not as a work around to work with local clients.
