Kim Nielsen My response was "if they are asking for a full itinerary?".

Reading other posts it appears different embassies, perhaps even different staff within those embassies, most certainly request anywhere between no to full itineraries. I only pointed out that as a Spanish resident at the time, a full and comprehensive itinerary along with an exit plan (flight) was requested of me from Spanish embassy. I understand that someone else asking for the same visa from the same office might receive a a very different reply. I was out through the full wash cycle.

If they are asking for a full itinerary. Accommodation has to be shown as booked and confirmed. Be careful, only book accommodation that offers free cancellation and utilise this option once in possession of your tourist visa. It's unethical towards the accommodation owners but what you are being asked to do by some embassies is just ridiculous.

For mine, I just made up a route from BKK across to Kanchanaburi then south down to Krabi, booked hotels with free cancellation policies staying 3 or 4 nights ending with 10 nights in Krabi and flying out of there to Kuala Lumpur on my 59th day.

Once in possession of the tourist visa I cancelled all accommodation bookings and only kept the flight remaining for proof on entering Thailand. Thankfully, the throwaway fight only cost 26โ‚ฌ.

Possibly true with some embassies but for my first 60 day tourist visa obtained via Spanish Embassy in Madrid. I had to give them a genuine "full" itinerary. Accommodation had to be shown as booked and confirmed, towns and my travel intentions, e.g. sailing, trekking, attractions were all requested of me.

I just made up a route from BKK across to Kanchanaburi then south down to Krabi, booked hotels with free cancellation policies staying 3 or 4 nights ending with 10 nights in Krabi and flying out of there to Kuala Lumpur on my 59th day.

Of course once in possession of the tourist visa I cancelled all accommodation bookings and only kept the flight remaining for proof on entering Thailand. Thankfully, the throwaway fight only cost 26โ‚ฌ. It was an intense requirement.

Nice little story amidst all the shite Bangkok Bank stories created by their unfair and outrageous decisions to just freeze people out. Hope enough people boycott them and heads roll for their outright negligence. I too switched to Kasikorn, I personally had none of the problems associated with BKK Bank but emptied and switched in protest of their actions against many.
