the Special Tourist Visa, which he isn't on, can be extended twice. The 'normal' tourist visa and visa exemption can be extended once for a further 30 days. Covid extensions could be possible at 60 days, if the immigration office are willing to grant them.

he's talking about x5 12 month extensions totalling $275 and that's if you meet the requirements age, marriage, family etc. Are you over 50? Married to a Thai? Or Have Thai kids?

you just go to immigration with your passport, fill in the forms and pay 1900THB

Assuming I understand you correctly.

Essentially you have submitted and had approved you change of visa to non-o retirement, 90 days.

Depending on the office you use.

You will need to submit all the same documents again with the exception of proving the funds came from abroad (which you may not may not have been asked for before)

You can submit your application for the 12 month extension once you have less than 30 days remaining on your stamp, and your money has seasoned for two months. 1900THB

The extension will be added to the 'admitted until date' in your passport, i.e. not taken from the date you apply.

fair enough. Most people these days find that the need for a travel agent is redundant and book direct, online. Even generating a travel itinerary, without first buying tickets is child's play

permanent residency/current location. I took that as meaning 'or'. The results were the same for entering Finland, Thailand or Vietnam

any idea why I get a different answer asking the same question.
