Woah, Congratulations!! I submitted my payment on April 7 as well and it’s still pending approval for the soft power. Were you at the front of the line? I was in the middle so hoping mine gets approved by the end of next week, but not sure with Songkran coming up. Good to know that they are approving for applications that were completed this week though.

From my last comment, I decided to move forward with the $20k plan and go to Indonesia, since it’s the only country on the list from Andi that I haven’t visited yet. Based on other expat community groups, Vietnam and Indonesia also come up very often so I just picked the country I never been. Best wishes!!

Thanks everyone! I have decided to go with the standard 60 day tourist visa, probably stay around 50 days, and aim to have 20k+ usd by February to strengthen my chances of approval in Indonesia. I have never been there so I am planning to go straight to Bali and submit the e-visa from there. Thanks again!

Thanks for the heads up! I am currently looking at Indonesia (Jakarta) right now based on my own research and hoping that spending 7–10 days there, after staying 60–90 days in Thailand, will allow me to get an approval for the DTV visa next year. 🙏

May I ask which country applies the approval with less than 3 months? might still extend just to be safe but would prefer going to a country that is little more flexible. Thank you!!
