I have been to Buriram - certainly not the sort of place I'd put on a "must do" list for a tourist. I actually live in Thailand - and I mean REAL Thailand, not this place called Isaan, which is essentially Cambodia and Laos annexes. Time to give it back. Its main industry is a perpetual supply of prossies for the bars of Pattaya and Patong
I live in Bangkok, but my favourite destinations in Thailand are Rayong, Hua Hin, Kanchanaburi, Chiang Mai, Phuket. Certainly not Buriram! Let's not forget Buriram only became part of Thailand less than a century ago. Historically it's Cambodia so why doesn't Thailand just give it back to its traditional owners?
