Well I didn't like you suggesting an expensive border run when all the girl asked was if she can go to immigration and do 30 days, which in itself could give more problems than you realise. Maybe you were just giving a different view, but it's confusing to people who are not sure about their own countries requirements to extend the visa here. So I apologise and we'll leave it there 🤝

This happened to somebody I knew from the uk before covid, I can't see it being any different now. He was refused at check-in by the airline. He told me most of south east asia is the same 6 month rule. He flew to Europe instead as I believe it's a 3 month rule for entry to countries there. I'm from the UK and getting a new updated passport took me 1 week. I'm sure you pay extra an can do it 1 day or 1 week. Good luck

You should have no issues entering that border in February and if they say no then you don't spend time in a detention centre, just go back into Laos and fly in. I just flew into Chiang mai. I didn't want to chance flying into Bangkok. Good luck

This would take whoever done this to mid JANUARY so there must be 1000s of people about to find out if they can re-enter.
