Thanks Greg, yeah I would think so too. Just weighing up whether the peace of mind is worth the hassle of a trip into London to sort a TR visa.

I came twice in 2025 once for about 45 days and once for full 90 but with about a month between each trip I am now back in home country and plan to return in January (so new calendar year) for a Marathon in February it will be just under 2 months since last exited when returnn and still on fence if need/want to go through DTV process - thought this would be fine before this crackdown but now concerns. Any recs so no hassle when return?

Yes true, but you're on a tourist visa essentially so have to maintain a second residence at least on paper regardless.
