being able to open a bank acvount would be a good idea. I mean, the Thai govt is trying to encourage foreigners to come spend $$ in their country. Surely, facilitating that with local bank accounts, bank cards etc supports their cause 🤷 you'd think

seems wildly excessive. I flew to Vietnam, applied online, stayed in a mid range hotel for 10 days and flew back. Whole thing came to under 20,000 Thai Baht - including flights and hotel I booked myself
