Will onward travel be required? I will be getting a work visa and working for a year so no onward travel plans at the moment. I'll print out a few days paid accommodation with details of long term accommodation.

So, good news.. I got my 3 month non b visa to teach in Thailand. They accepted a Thai police check even though their website list asks for an Indonesian one. They also do tourist and Ed visas here and it's the quietest consulate you will find.. absolutely no queues.

Maybe I shouldn't tempt fate by being positive about the Bali consulate before I actually get my visa back but although there's a 3 day turn around - you'll never find a less stressful consulate than this one in regards to waiting in queues etc. Anyway, if you're in Bali, 3 days relaxing on the beach isn't too bad...

Hi.. yeah I saw that but it hasn't been active for a while. I emailed them but got a confusing response. I have just been there and submitted the documents. I think it's the only way to find out for sure..
