Hi, hopefully a quick question just to clarify the next stage in my visa process. I obtained a 3 month non b visa in Bali to work in Thailand and my school has now provided the work permit. I'm now in Thailand. What's the next stage? Do I wait until the non b has almost expired and go to immigration to change the non b to a 1 year visa? ..or should I just go to immigration as soon as possible to extend for 1 year. My school is closed for the holidays at the moment so can't ask anyone there. Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
After obtaining a 3-month non-B visa and receiving your work permit, you should visit the local Immigration Office to apply for a 1-year extension of stay for work. It's advisable to do this at least 30 days before your non-B visa expires, rather than waiting for it to come close to the expiration date.

Between 30 days and your last date mentioned in the Admitted Until stamp in your passport you visit the local Immigration Office and apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on working in Thailand.
