Can I apply for a Non-B visa using a Thai police check at the Thai consulate in Bali?

Just a quick question about getting a Non B for Thai teaching visa from Bali, Denpasar. I am here at the moment and planning to apply. I have all the documents listed except the Indonesian police check as I am not a resident of Indonesia and it will not be possible to become one. I have a Thai police check instead which seems more appropriate anyway but I know that's irrelevant. Anyone tried for a non B in Bali with a Thai police check?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user in Bali inquired about applying for a Non-B visa for teaching in Thailand using a Thai police check instead of the required Indonesian police check. They had all other documents ready but faced challenges due to not being a resident in Indonesia. The conversation included experiences from others regarding visa applications at the Bali consulate, discussing contact methods, document checks, and overall ease of the process. Ultimately, the user reported success, with the consulate accepting the Thai police check despite earlier documentation requirements.

So, good news.. I got my 3 month non b visa to teach in Thailand. They accepted a Thai police check even though their website list asks for an Indonesian one. They also do tourist and Ed visas here and it's the quietest consulate you will find.. absolutely no queues.

Maybe I shouldn't tempt fate by being positive about the Bali consulate before I actually get my visa back but although there's a 3 day turn around - you'll never find a less stressful consulate than this one in regards to waiting in queues etc. Anyway, if you're in Bali, 3 days relaxing on the beach isn't too bad...

Hi.. yeah I saw that but it hasn't been active for a while. I emailed them but got a confusing response. I have just been there and submitted the documents. I think it's the only way to find out for sure..

so few of people actually use that consulate for visas that I think you're not gonna get the answer you seek. BUT let's see if anyone knows..

Good Luck.

Guess you'll find out when you apply. :/ Do report back and let us know if the thai police check was okay or not.
