Will I receive a 5-year visa if I enroll in a 6-month Muay Thai course for the Soft Power DTV visa?

I have not seen anyone getting a different visa than DTV ie a METV, for a Muay Thai course. Seems to have been medical or short term cooking where those given out and then from Japan etc. London Embassy seems to be very efficient and straightforward.

Anonymous participant 252 It is up to the local embassy. Ambassador signs off who works. If they are just sitting around why not have them process visa applications?

Anonymous participant 819 They might be processing. Depends if Ambassador approves holiday working and overtime pay. It's a tourist visa. There is no urgency.

It does not allow you to work in Thailand to work with clients Thai or foreign. PS: it is a great visa. Do not leave yourself open to risk.
