Stephen Howell I have lived in Aust on the pension.I understand the benefits and the shortfalls. But that's not the point to what I posted. I been in Thailand near 17 years apart 2 years during COVID. I just don't like senior discounts being removed from us Aliens. I realize there nothing I can do about it, just want point this out.

I found this out a few weeks ago when they told us about the new cards for the MRT. So I have now lost access to the to senior discount on the MRT. I also had Seniors card for the BTS which I got when the BRT started charging again. This just stopped working when the BTS disabled it. So as a Foreigner on a Non O living on Aust goverment pension I have had both Seniors discount removed. We come to Thailand to live here as you cannot live on the pension in Aust but the BTS and MRT assume we are rich and we are not.If your on Non O or Non OA you should have access to the same senior discounts as a Thai.

On the immigration web site there is a power of attorney form so your GF as the lease can then report you via the online web for TM30. The power of attorney form is the owner granting your GF the right to do the TM30 reporting.

Please don't forget that there are lots of deduction from your money transfered into Thailand It is a lot more complex than the comment here and only a Thai accountant can really advise you based on you individual situation when you do your Thai tax. I belive the trigger point currently is 1.2M Baht after that your on the Revenue Departments investigation list Number may have changed. They say the big crack down by RD will occur next year but who really knows!

TTB Closed at CW 2 years ago so I just do it locally I keep a copy of the required form so they understand what's required. I think some other banks have also closed too. One trick I found was to use the ATM at TTB on the day like at 6am to update my passbook and then go to CW.
