I know many people that use short term addresses to open the account so they can start to season the funds whilst looking for long term accommodation. Completely up to Mike which way he wants to do it but he seems like he has a solid plan

this is exactly why I was asking him why? There is no issue opening an account on a correct long term visa I.e retirement visa like yourself 👌

you can use your short term address just to open the account and then change it when you have your long term rental

well you have to have a remote working job or use a soft power option which some people may not want to do. Therefore it wouldn’t be a “proper” visa for everyone
