had an ED visa refused due to this, constant questioning for multiple trips after. It’s an advice page and my advice to anyone is don’t overstay even by a couple of days as it’s not worth it. If you want to advise otherwise that’s your choice

100% it’s not worth overstaying as can cause issues in the future, even if it is a couple of days. Been there and got the t-shirt and regretted it for years

Don’t see any point in having this group if people can’t ask a question without getting harassed for doing so…. Yes google is available but google can also provide conflicting or out of date information so maybe people use the group to get some clarity 🤷‍♂️

What do I need to open a bank account in Bangkok or Pattaya as an expat?

Even with an agent it isn’t as easy as it was. Some cannot get you an account unless you are over 50 and some require you to buy Bangkok bank insurance if you are under 50

overstay can cause many problems if it wants to and yes other countries can look at overstay from other countries if they wish. It’s simply not worth it. I’ve done it and caused me anxiety everytime the IO officer used to question me when I arrived. I ended up buying a new passport so it wasn’t visible and never got questioned again 🤣🤣
