Update: so I call the thai embassy and they were super helpful.
So if you don’t have a thai iD or a thai passport. You can ask for a thai travel verification document that will allow you to fly into Thailand as a thai. The document is valid for 2 months after you get it. This way you don’t have to enter Thailand as your other citizenship. So this is the route that I’m going to take and it will save us a not wanted second sandbox scheme.
yea I had to get all the paperwork so we could married lol. My main concerns is after she gets her thai passport. Does she have to leave and come back into country because she will enter with her German and receive her thai passport in Thailand. So I don’t want to her to leave and come back again. We basically would be doing the sandbox 2 times.
oh I don’t care about doing the sandbox I just don’t want to do it again after she gets her passport because I was told that she would have leave the country and enter on her thai passport. But it makes not since because they shouldn’t make a citizen leave just to come into country on the thai passport.
yea but this is stupid. Why can’t they just waive her tourist status after she gains citizenship. Plus due to covid your telling your own citizen to leave there country to go to another country and come back as a citizen again. That’s dumb 🤣
