I am looking for feedback on foreigners who attempted to be a Naturalized Thai Citizen, and would like to hear from this experience. 🇹🇭

I have some of the requirements already, learning Thai now and on the way to have the other requirements.

For the people who already did it, I am looking for some feedback:

* I know that you need to be able to read, write and speak Thai perfectly. I am learning Thai now for several months and have a long way to go surely. But I am just wondering how strictly this rule is applied, and curious if there is any corruption involved here as in the immigration 😅😅

* Any other feedback/recommendations would be welcome.

My wife is thai. born in Thailand and moved to Germany when she was 6 she has a German passport but no thai passport or ID. She has her thai birth certificate and thai house registry. We want to go to Thailand and get her thai passport and her iD and move to Thailand. Due to covid do we still have to leave Thailand after she gets her thai passport and ID? We want to do a thai marriage visa. I am American but I also live in Germany.

Any help would be appreciated. Also yes we tried contacting the consulates they don’t answer the phones.
