I have this visa and I previously tried to go for the 60 day extension (which can only be used once per visa as I understand it) - at immigration the officer told me that if I use the 60 day extension then my visa will be void after that, despite it being multiple entry and still have time left before it expired. She advised me to go do a border bounce instead so I wouldn't lose the remaining time on the Visa and only do the 60 day extension once my Visa is past the expiration date
I recently entered (via Suvarnabhumi) on a tourist visa after having spent last year on an ED Visa to learn Thai and was stopped and questioned by immigration in Thai language about if I actually went to classes and why I came back etc. She also thoroughly checked my documents (printed booking confirmation at hotel for my first few days after arrival and return flight ticket within 60 days)
do you know how they are able to match people to entry history on their old passports in the database? Is it through the fingerprint scanning or something else
Is it worth trying to contact the consulate there to confirm there is no requirement to show finances, or is this information recent? Seems like quite the haul to get all the way over there only to find out they want the bank document 😅
