Thank you 🙏 The company is VIPKID. I was hoping at least one other person who works for them would respond here! But alas, nope 😆 I don't think anyone at the embassy is stupid. That is why I specifically asked this group who has been in this situation, and how they dealt with it. I'm not planning to do anything sketchy or illegal. I'm just not sure how to give them something that doesn't exist, and I cannot easily get (if at all). I did write them, but no reply. I will explain my situation better in the cover letter. And point out that the contract does have official stamps from the company.

Irene Allen Hi. There is nothing sketchy about anything I sent them. I am an independent contractor with VIPKID, a legitimate Chinese teaching platform I've taught with since 2016. They do not sign the contract (as in way a boss or an HR person would). I'm simply asking how others have dealt with this similar situation. I'm going to send a cover letter explaining the company better along with my contract again pointing out the stamps.

I've decided to send back the contract and point out the stamp already there, sign my signature above my electronic one, and explain further the nature of the company (why there is no "boss" or HR person to sign). And hope for the best 🙏

The contract is already stamped by yhe company, but has no actual signatures because it's electronic. I can sign my side, of couse, but I don't have a "boss" to sign anything. It's a big online teaching company that hires thousands of teachers as independent contractors. I suppose I can just explain that when I resend the contract.
