Yes, from many countries now 60 days plus then can extend by extra 30 says so 90 days

It wont improve for a while as its only just lost 3.5thb in the last 2 months annoyingly. The cheapest way i found was to take pounds with me and exchange at one of the booths in the larger shopping centres. It saves around 6% on using ATMS with uk card

Absolutely true. However, its still a valid question and with more answers we get a feel for the problems you might encounter, the questions asked etc. Also you get a feel for any change in attitude from thai immigration on "tourists" and whether things are changing.

exactly, thats all you need to do. Thailand is full of crazy laws etc. You either learn to.accept them or you leave, its that simple
