One of the reasons Farlang can't speak Thai is the fact that it doesn't translate into English and MANY things are lost in translation .. drop your EGO and it will start to make sense in a year or two.

I'm sure there's some horror stories going forward with this visa .

The visas are built on uncertainty . Having a villa,wife and dog will count to nothing when immigration check you out at the airport on re-entry. You should be ok ,But!!!

Put it all in a skip and forget about it...they sell most things in the here .. you will miss nothing and find the experience enlightening.
