u go to dept an have a LETTER ( not passport) issued for taking ur car to Malaysia, Done it many times

+ only 30% tint on windows, purchase insurance an have 2 stickers in english of ur thai plate

Head to Satun an use the Wang Prachan ( A lovely drive ) border an just walk across< BUT ask before you cross if you can come right back an dif there is a "gift" needed :-)
