No issue for you in the future, definitely suggest you do VOA and carry the necessary cash for visa and to show.

That's what probably got the visa voided. I have had them refuse me a visa as I have no Income in India even though my bank statement showed a balance in excess of 5,000 dollars.

The ITR you provided did not convince the senior visa officer of your financials and hence the Visa which had already been issued was voided. MAKE SURE you carry the equivalent of 20,000 baht for your trip to show the officers if asked, PLUS 2000 baht to pay for the visa and you should have no hassles.

A snipped passport does not invalidate the visas within! You have to show it in conjuction with your new passport.

After showing your parents, if they still need help at Immigration then they can approach the 'Executives' in grey uniforms who help with the queues.

Vientiane. As long as all your papers are in order. Go as early as possible. They're open 8:30am to 11:30am for visa applications. Collect your passport the next day at 1:30pm. They accept Thai Baht.
