Genuinely happy to help, it's like others said you always get some "know it all" or someone who goes "I have a friend who.....I know someone who...." Then it just blows up and I give up
Anonymous participant 457 Taiwan, probably the most welcoming country I've been to in my lifetime and they have gold card/visa runs are actually legal too.
Getting a bit frustrated with Thailand as a whole in all honesty, lived in 6 other countries and never had ANY issues, opening banks, simple entry & exit, ease of renting, local pricing etc. Thailand? Exact opposite. Total misery, scams, bribes, "crackdowns" foreigner prices, endless paperwork, rental nightmares, list goes on.
Note: I have a workcation DTV etc but seriously thinking of ditching it and moving on elsewhere once my 180 days is up, just not worth it.
Revolut if it's in the UK should be ok, outside I've known rejections, if you can just spring up a Monzo account (takes like one day to set up after id verification) and put it in there (if they don't care about how long you've had the 500k that is)
Just stay put, if you can't afford to stay put then you shouldn't even be getting a DTV (only saying this because of one toolbag that cried on here they ran out of money in Cambodia whilst waiting)
Anytime I land at Suvarnabhumi I always dodge the female officers, even back when I was entering on visa exempt they would badger me a lot, if I'm next in line and it's a female officer I tell the person behind to go ahead because I need to get documents out of my bag etc.
