Luckily still kept my SCB account from the work visa days when i worked for a crappy agency back in the day (lol they forced teachers to close their bank account when they wanted to quit or even move jobs, i refused and just bounced, so glad I did) SCB have been really cool since and weren't that bothered when I told them my visa status changed to DTV in case anyone is in a smilar boat
???? Could've should've would've. Makes no difference. What's done is done and if the embassy are being that picky and bothered OP can literally mention the e-gates and they'll have a record if they really want to go through the effort and check ffs
Yes mate, the documents vary from embassy to embassy and in all honesty from personal experience I would strongly recommend HCMC embassy Vietnam. They need 6 months of bank statements but fast very fast, only 3 days. Yes your current location would be ok in regard to passport page stamp/sticker etc. And the financial requirement, I did a combination of a savings account and current, they were cool with it.
i ask myself the same thing, its not universal, some embassies in some countries just like to throw their weight about. Had similar for British embassies too when I have had passport related or visa stuff to sort
