There were attempted bombings a few weeks ago so extra security on entry. Visitors from a designated number of countries can enter for upto 60 days under THE TOURIST EXEMPTION SCHEME. You can obtain a 30 day extension for 1900 baht at a local Immigration Office. That's pretty self-explanatory and doesnt include entry for living purposes which requires a Visa. So all extensions are considered by and at the discretion of an Immigration Officer.
I KNOW it is easy, I have done it upto the point of submitting it. I was merely asking could I keep it like that and then add the few seconds to submit it. Can you please point me to where it says you can't do it?
Here is another post on TripAdvisor to a very nervous Aussie about the form despite being advised POLITELY that it's easy, only takes a few minutes etc. "Here's a suggestion to make it easy for you to fill in at the hotel (rather than assuming you have wifi on the plane)
Go to the web site and fill in a dummy application saying you are arriving tomorrow going through all the stages apart from submitting it. Make a note of the questions you found hard (like the detailed accommodation details and save the answers for when you want to do it for real. Completion will then take less than 5 minutes."
Thanks to all who have made polite replies. I now exactly how long it takes having completed one up to the point of submission and was wondering if I leave it at this point until 3 days before departure to press the complete button. A simple question for a simple answer.
