Did mine at CM yesterday. Got there around 10:30am, done by 3:10pm. Should have gone earlier but eh, one lost day in a year. 😆

I had that liscence when I visited here and the first few months I moved here. When I was stopped, the cop only wanted to see the international one. I always got it at CAA in canada before coming here. One year, I didn't get it ( only canadian licence ) and got a 400 baht ticket in hua hin.

not sure. I only had to show my T4 ( before qc taxes 🤣 ) and it was fine. My parents just did theirs last week and showed their pension. Maybe call the consulate to ask. They're pretty helpful. The interesting thing is that it's income before taxes.

I would come here on a 60 day tourist visa, then apply for a non -O And if you can prove 65K/M baht income, as a Canadian, you can get a letter of income from the consulate here for about 650 baht. You'll get a 90 day, Non -O retire visa that you can extend for a year. Also, no medicals or police background checks and no insurance for the retire visa or extention is required.

My parents are coming here too and I asked a manager of my bangkok bank branch. She showed me a form to give to immigration to get a bank account , even before applying for the retirement extention.

thank you for this info. Would the 65,000 baht a month proof of income then be 130,000 a month to not have to deposit funds for a Canadian?
