I just had a conversation on another post on this page about Thai Elite was discussed. Apparently Thai Elite holding is not enough from what I was told.
As the mentioned on this thread I believe that a February/ March reopening date is realistic time frame if not longer. According to a article that was I believe in Pattaya One this article interviewed local businesses community about two weeks ago. The overwhelming consensus by business owners is that if international tourism doesn’t start within the next 90-180 days that the local tourism industry will just be damaged so severely it will take at least 5 years to get back to 2019 numbers. Another factor from a social standpoint is that the amount of suicides have increased so much that it’s becoming a crisis point due to unemployment and bankruptcy’s.
Not to mention the domestic violence and increased alcohol and drug abuse is also becoming a serious problem.
That’s the economic side I believe.
The Dominican Republic another tourism dependent country has taken the route of all is welcome and if you get corvid in the Dominican Republic the Dominican Government will pay for the treatment. 🤔
Apology for going off subject is that if you work in Serra Leon with a work permit does that make you a resident ?
Can try that angle with getting a visa.
Good Luck and let the group know how it all works out for you.
for sure Indonesia is a great place Bali Island lots of fun. Japan is well worth it.
I went to Hong Kong and Macau a lot years ago haven’t been back to those parts with the changes.
Myanmar I really enjoy the food that in my opinion is really underrated.
How is Laos 🇱🇦 ?
It’s been on my list for years. I met some really nice Laotian people in Thailand.
Exploring Cambodia is also on my list.
There are so many places to visit actually the visa restrictions with some countries has encouraged me to explore and visit other places on the plus side.
I was heard the actual evidence to be presented is actually quite high. Photographs on multiple occasions and paper trail kind of evidence. Passport checks and warnings are just something the authorities do when there is a complaint.
If it’s a one off like helping the wife with stocking the fridge with beer because of a injury and most likely the staff didn’t show up that day is one thing but working like a proper job is a different situation all together that’s why I heard the evidence to prove the work has to be obvious like the guy working the bbq grilling chicken in the open on multiple occasions. 🤷♂️
it’s fair to say that we all have heard various kinds of stories around the camp fire over the years of issues around businesses and housing. I believe it’s best to make a combination of trips around the region if one wishes to settle there is always the service apartment kind of option for a bit then move around and explore various countries. I personally like to go Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar or Japan when the weather is right.
I remember a story about a foreigner helping his wife with a bbq chicken business but the husband go in trouble for working a job that a local can do ? There was some kind of issue on that kind of husband and wife business 🤷♂️
