Thanks to the admins for adding me to the group.

I was just wondering if anyone had attempted to apply (either in person or by using an agent if there is one) for a tourist visa in the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur?

If so, what was it like and what are the requirements asked from them?

I generally do visa runs between Malaysia and Thailand. My two annual land border runs are used and I'm currently looking/researching for any options/alternatives to prolong my stay here. I am based in Malaysia and my visa is set to expire in one month.

I am shocked to learn that Jim's Place Cafe in Penang is closed since the pandemic. So my options are either (a) to self apply through the Thai Embassy in KL or (b) fly to Hat Yai while doing the visa run from there - which too carry its risk.

Any insights, information or recommendations will be highly appreciated.
