Hi,

I'm a french living in Issan, married with a thai wife. Both my wife and I are vaccinated against covid, our 12yo kid not yet.

From 22nd of November, we'll be on holiday till the end of the year.

We'd like to use it to go the the sea (some kind of paradise as you know) for at least 3 weeks.

But I'm getting confused about where we can go or not, quarantine conditions to enter our destination and return to Issan after, especially with a 12yo not yet vaccinated.

So wondering if anyone of you have some tips, great places to go without problem.

Appreciate your answers, and apologies if this is not the right forum.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A French family residing in Isaan, Thailand, is seeking advice on holiday destinations amidst COVID-19 restrictions, especially considering their unvaccinated 12-year-old. Respondents suggest southern destinations like Hat Yai, Trang, Krabi, and Koh Chang, while also highlighting potential return regulations. Recommendations include checking local travel groups for the latest information and preparing for possible tests during their journey.

Why not drive down to Koh Chang, there is a lot less restrictions driving. I just drove up from Phuket to Bangkok apart from exiting Phuket there were no stops.

Not sure where you are is Isarn but we did a great road trip couple of years ago, drove full length of Sukhimvit till cambodian border and then drove on Thai side of border around to Udon found some amazing places on the way.

Koh Phayam off Ranong is also very nice and very quiet at the moment.

said biggest restrictions maybe returning home.

I had 8 ART self tests kits with me as I had no idea if we would get stopped at any province borders and could do a test there and then if required.

There is going to be a big promotion for domestic tourism not sure of plans yet, they were going to have 3 big free concerts in Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi province but that got stopped.

You might find the strictest regulations when you return to Isaan. This report was posted today in Thailand Travel Restriction group, which you might find useful to join and post your question there

I would recommend you to go south. Meaning Hat Yai and Trang and those areas. However I am not familiar with restrictions right now if there are some should look at Krabi or Khao Lak
