Hi, from Australia hoping to get my DTV. I am currently in Thailand, just over 2 weeks left. First question, is it best to apply for it once I arrive back to Australia or start the process now. I thought I should see an agent but after stumbling across this group it looks like it’s easy enough to do it on your own. I have had my own abn and sole trader business doing web and graphic design for over 15 years, and use xero and file my tax returns every year so I assume that would allow me to qualify for it? Is there a minimum amount I should be making to qualify? Regarding the savings, this is where I am stuck. I only have a few thousand AUD in my actual savings account as I have the majority of my money directly in my home loan. Would it be best for me to withdraw that money from my home loan and put it directly in my savings account? Would I have to then wait 3 months? Thanks in advance
