Hi,

Need some advice. US passport holder with non-o multiple entry, traveling to Kanchanaburi the coming holidays and thinking about getting the next 90days at Baan Phu Nam Ron, does he need to apply for Myanmar visa before getting there? Any requirement? Can he just go with the passport and get everything done at the border?

Appreciate your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A US passport holder traveling from Thailand to Myanmar via the Baan Phu Nam Ron border crossing does not need a visa for this trip. They can pay a fee of 950 to get shuttled across the no-man's-land, receive the required stamps, and then be brought back to the Thai side.

Nope, no burma visa is needed for that border to bounce in and out.

You pay 950 to get shuttled across no-manz-land stamped in and out of burma and brought back to the thai side.
